Saturday, February 11th. The Kansas Wetlands Education Center will sponsor the second in a series of winter programs for children age 6 through 12 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the center, 10 miles northeast of Great Bend. The program will explore how animals survive the cold winter. The program is free but pre-registration is required by February 8th. Call 620-786-7456 for further information.

Sunday, February 12th. Heartland Farm Labyrinth Walk, from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the Farm. Renew and deepen your spirit as we walk our prairie labyrinth. Warm refreshments will be proviced.
Saturday, Febraury 18th. Fiber Space, from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the Farm. We will be offering spinning, knitting, crocheting and loom weaving. Enjoy one on one instruction. Each session will include other freatures such as bobbin lace, dyeing, and felting.
The Great Bend High School Journalism Department is selling Yearbooks from its archives. Graduation years span from 1952 through 2009, however some years may not be available. The Great Bend Public Library will sponsor another series of movies this month for teens in grades 7 through 12 on a new night. Stop by the Library on Mondays from 4:30 until 6:30 p.m. for several Hollywood releases with a dance theme. Call 620-792-2713 for more information.
Contributions are being accepted for construction of the Pawnee County All Veteran's Memorial. The walk-way of the memorial will be lined with granite brick pavers which will be inscribed with individual donor names. Every contribution of $100.00 and more will be eligible for an inscription. The memorial will honor all honorably discharged Pawnee County veterans. Call 620-910-7900 for more informaion.
You can experience Cheyenne Bottoms like never before thanks to Guided Van Tours through the Kansas Wetlands Education Center. Participants can choose a 30 or 90 minute tour that will provide a brief history of the bottoms and opportunities to observe birds and wildlife native to the area. Tours are by reservation only.
